please try to make a research on your kind of gold fish.. having an aquarium is not easy. you cannot just feed them and clean the tub.

You may find this site useful: www.firsttankguide.net because everything you need to know in starting up aquarium is there. And you will find it there that it is not all aesthetics. we cannot just put things in our aquarium and we need to consider some things so that it will be healthier for our fishes.

good luck!

I rememeber when I had some goldfishes .. similar situation to yours. I finally spoke to the specialist I bought it from. He asked me when i get rid of the water and put fresh water do i wash the tank with any detergents to get rid of the grime. I said yes, thats when he said that was the reason why my fishes ( pee pee & poh poh) were dying as i had wash the aquarium with a detergent it left a residue in the clean water. Hence, the chemicals killed it. I was told to wash the aquaruim with normal tap water not to use any form of cleaning fluids. There was some type of tablet that neutralised the water so that the fishes can survive. Also goldfish can also die if you tap on the glass wall this scares them and they die of shock. Hope this helps.

just let the new water at the fish tank for 12-16hrs or more(this method will regulate the water or other substance from the tap) before transferring your gold fish etc...
we clean our aquarium(fish tank) 30-40days(its look like water at the sewage hehehehehehe)

Are they getting any kind of fungus in their body..?
If so they r medicine u need to put, but in qatar i found the medicines expiry date over, so i had to bring from my home country.

And do not change water every week.

Since u have filter and oxygen, tat s enought..only when color changes or becomes dirty then change.
When u change store the tap water for 2-3 days then pour in the aquarium. When u change water put the fish in another tank/bucket with same water they where in.

2-3 weeks remove 1/4th of the water and add new water which u have stored for 2-3 days.

Also when u give food, switch off oxygen and filter.
Aft tat on the filter so that the food remains doesnt dirty the water.

And filter shud not be on always, also the room temperature also shud be normal.
