What is there to do before 7PM for kids during Ramadan?
My kids go to bed at 7:30 PM but it seems that nothing for kids starts until after 8 during Ramadan! We're bored!

Hi, I think it is about time to allow your kids to sleep a little bit late. A friend of mine has two kids and they are enjoying the evening time by the corniche. The weather is so much better and definitly there are lots of stuff to do. You can show your kids the castle in city center, or take them to the fun games in the 3rd floor in there as well. Anyways, they can wake up late and enjoy life like we would have loved to do when we were kids. :) Cheers. Answered on Sun, 14/09/2008 - 10:18am

I'm having the same issue. My son who is two and half has got tons of energy and no where to dispel it particularly on the weekends. Been to Villagio, the Mall and City Center in the mornings and afternoons and they are like ghost towns. McDonald's and KFC which have play areas are also closed :( What to do? Haha! Sleep late? Nope, if they go to bed at 7:30, they wake up at 6AM happy. If they go to bed after 9PM, they wake up at 6:30 AM GROUCHY!!! I only wish they would sleep long enough for me to have to wake them up. Answered on Sun, 14/09/2008 - 12:57pm

Be creative. Arrange playdates with other bored children. Swim in the compound pool, play with seldom used toys. Make cookies. Invite people over for a party (neighbors, co-workers, husband's co-workers) Read etc etc etc. People are only bored if they let themself be bored. Answered on Sun, 14/09/2008 - 1:05pm

Great question as I was thinking the same thing today. It was too windy/dusty to go swimming so thought we'd go to jungle zone or something and it was closed. My kids to go to bed by 8:00 and really need some entertainment other then swimming. If you come up with anything, pleaes let us know as we are climbing the walls here!
