What is the average cost of neutering/spaying a cat in Qatar? Or is there a clinic that does it for free?

Can't remember exactly but we paid about QR850 at Qatar Veterinary Center (over the road from Aspire. They have a website) about a month ago. They are Western run and were very good. To be honest, I think I would prefer to be treated by them than the quacks who are practising in doctors' surgeries. Answered on Mon, 25/06/2012 - 1:54pm

The government vet (on the corner of E-ring road, where it T junctions at the airport) will do it for free. If you are keeping the cats as we did, you will have to purchase a microchip and vaccination at one of the veterinary shops and take this with you. You will have to confirm this, but they also fix strays that you may catch, then you release them again and do not have to keep them. You need to drop them off at opening time (7?) and fetch around lunch time (for male cats, may be different for females) Answered on Mon, 25/06/2012 - 3:15pm

The (Veterinary surgery) they are one of the best in Doha, they got high standards, the clinic phone number is 44367187,I'm dealing with them for the last 6 years and realy they are very good, even they can give you advices over the telephone, just take your cat, give them a visit, they will open a file with your phone number and the cat's name.As for that clinic which is doing that for free, they almost have no standards, street cats will be with yours at the same room while operating.I almost lost my cat a couple of days later after the operation at that free of charge clinic as he was infected with a very bad virus that he caught from that clinic.personally,I don't recommend them, but it's your choice, just go there see for your self,I'm sure you'll not be happy.Good luck.
