Who Are The Original Qataris ?

I have come across Arabs who are originally from countries like Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Yemen & Saudi whom are now Qatari citizens.

To my surprise, I have also come across people of Philippines and Indian origins whom have become Qataris. What surprised me also, these people I've met couldn't speak fluent Arabic.

I'd love to know the history of Qatar, whom are the real original people of this land ? Can we identify them through their family name Al-xxxxx ?
