World War II bomb kills Indian

Guess this bomb was destined for these two guys. Didn't explode when dropped, nor did it in last 63 years. What luck!

Two metal scrap yard workers, including an Indian, were killed in an explosion while unknowingly trying to cut up a World War II bomb.

The owner of the scrap yard had told the two workers to cut the 100 kg bomb, which he had purchased from a local who found it in an open area in Jeram, into smaller pieces at the scrap yard in Kampung Batu Dua.

The bomb exploded at about 1530 hours (local time) as the workers, an Indian national and a Bangladeshi, were cutting through the centre, without realising what it was.

The blast was heard up to 2 km, shocking residents and shattering windowpanes. A working hostel located at the back of the compound caught fire as a result of the blast.

The Indian worker died on the way to the Sungai Buloh Hospital, while the other died at the intensive care unit.
