SA driving licence in Qatar
Just to help my fellow South Africans, you can Transfer your South African Licence to Qatar Licence, you just pay QR250...you only do eye test,you need letter from your company, blue or red colour passport photo, resident permit copy and you will get your driving licence within an hour..NO need to do test again.

Welcome to Qatar! ...Us South Africans are well trained for this traffic. In Qatar they have the Landcruisers in SA we have the commuter's taxis - lol

drivers lisense ...Where do u come from? I am a women and had to do 12 lessons in the night and had to go for a test and the whole thing and paid over QR 1000 at a Driving school for it all!

I also had to do my test ...over.... but no lessons. It cost me about QR250 as well.
Fortunately passed first time.... Too truebiltong... although, I would say, give me a taxi anyday... at least they have manners and say thank you when letting them into traffic....

Come again? ...Sorry but South African licences are not recognised in Qatar. It' 12 driving lessons at a cost. My daughter is doing hers now as they won't accept her South African one.

I guess they changed then ...I guess they changed then but I got mine without any test, I went personally to the traffic department and within 30 minutes I had it in my hand but that was last year september I guess.
I would really advise people to call up the department before doing anything around here cause people really have different information.
