Museum of Islamic Art
We visited the MIA for the first time yesterday. What a fantastic building and superbly interesting. There are some very interesting artifacts that create a lot of food for thought. We spent a couple of hours there, had a light lunch too.
Entry is free
It might not be to everyone's taste, but if you're in anyway interested in art and local culture then I highly recommend it.

superb ...Must vist tis place in the evening. Superb lighting. And if you noticed u'll find tat on the top of the building, the theme is a lady with nikab(hardcover).

dear Paulkimchi ...To answer your question, last time I went there, which was about a month ago, I did not find any Qatari artifacts.
Most priceless artifacts on display were from other parts of the world including, iran, iraq, syria, india, sicily, spain, etc.
I loved the rudy red falcon.

Yes you will not find a lot ...Yes you will not find a lot of Qatari stuff , for the simple fact that Qatar is a new country without a long history.
We can say the same about Koweit, Bahrain, Emirats....
