Exhibition ‘LOVING THROUGH BARS’ February 29 to March 21, 2008

Award-Winning
Photographer and Author of ‘Loving Through Bars’, Cynthia Martone offers
a glimpse into the searing and poignant view of the millions of children in the
United States
and throughout the world who have a parent in prison. These children are
victims of their parents’ crimes, members of a neglected segment of society.

Hosted by the Doha
Marriott Hotel at Café Trottoir, ‘Loving Through Bars’ Artistic Photographic
Exhibit portrays the excessive burden being shouldered by children who are
growing up in a mere semblance of prison. ‘Such children are
prisoners-children’, says Martone. They are innocent victims whose lives are
filled with instability and uncertainty.

Cynthia’s works are
stolen moments of thoughts, feelings and experiences of ‘living and loving
through bars’.

An opening
Reception and Book Presentation is to be held at the Doha Marriott on February
29, 2008 from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. From 1 March onwards, timings will be from 12
noon to 9.00 pm.
