New group on Qatar Living
I have started a group on QL named "Urdu Group - For Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi speakers"
Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages are not the same but similar, so are their speakers and users.
One might ask why there was a need for such a group. I set up this group, using languages as a vehicle to unite people form sub-continent mainly Indians and Pakistanis, build bridges, understand misunderstandings and create harmony among us. I believe It is very much possible through common languages.
People from sub-continent are attracted to each other as they share the same ethnic background. There are more similarities than differences between us. Let's play down the minor differences.
I invite all of you to be part of this group. It is not expected that you only post in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, please use the language you are more comfortable with, I understand for majority it is English.

yousri, My sincere apology ...yousri, My sincere apology for inconvenience. I announced it a bit early.. The tale is:
Group link is valid except that it is not accessible yet. I have the confirmation from QL management that the group has been established. I can view the group and post there as well. However, it does not appear in the QL Groups Directory, which means it hasn't been FULLY activated.
I have reported this to Ahmad and waiting for his response. Will update soon.

nice efforts ...but majority of indian's in Qatar are from Kerala, and most of them hardly can speak/understand urdu/hindi.

Ashwindoke, You are ...Ashwindoke, You are absolutely right. It is a typical human nature that we can't ignore the differences so easily. We actually don't have to. As you stated, in our case we want to eliminate them as there are no 'real' differences between us. Most of the differences are created by politicians on both sides. They make and advance their political careers and we help them succeed by antagonizing each other.
I have many Indian friends, we do talk about everything including all sensitives issues but that is done in a very respectful way. Respect for each other as well as respect for both countries. Apparently I found out that there are no differences.
Though "I will love to see Pakistani Hockey team or cricket team winning matches!" Let's not reconcile this difference.. nahe tu sport ka lutf jaata rahay ga!!

Aaj subah subah.....Baarish mein tu maza aagaya...... ...Enjoyed full 15 minutes of rains at its best today morning between 8.00 and 8.15 kept my car windows opens driving at corniche road with zero visibility and let me, my jacket and shirt got all wet......I wish we could have many more days like this in Qatar.
