Description:

Located in the Ramada Plaza Hotel (the "new" Ramada building), on the first floor in what was formerly a vegetarian restauarant, Picasso's is a tapas restaurant. So lots of little appetizer-y foods (meat, chicken, seafood, etc.) and a big wine (and liquor) list! That's it!

Went to Picasso's last night for a wine-tasting event with some friends, and was blown away. Really. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. I'm not even that fond of Spanish cuisine to begin with, but the food we had last night was fabulicious! Seared tuna, chicken in a coconut cream sauce, garbanzo beans with tomatoes and spices, marinated olives and mushrooms, grilled veal filets wrapped around cheese,...and the desserts! Yummy!
Prices were not too bad considering it's a hotel and you've got that 17%. This was totally my kind of place because I am a grazer; I love to just nosh on little stuff, and that's what you do here. This would be a great place for a date -- just drink and nibble as you get to know one another.
Service was, perhaps, the best I've come across in Doha thus far. No exaggeration.
I will definitely be coming back to Picasso's again!

I went to Picasso's last night, the food and service were excellent. We were the only customers eating (there was a couple enjoying a glass of wine) so the atmosphere was OK. However, I am sure going there with a large group or when the restaurant was busy, it would be very good.

I would definately recommend the restaurant and will be returning there in the future.

Went to Picasso's a couple of weeks ago on a sat evening. Lovely decor etc and really nice food. Varied and well prepared and presented. Shouldn't really call the sausage 'chorizo' though as it hasn't been near any pork (obviously). Excellent service too. Pity we were the only people in there except for 3 spaniards. Possibly due to the prices which were a little over the top - especially 40 ryals for a small glass of wine.

Considering that this restaurant is inside a 5 stars hotel, and they have license to import some special ingredients I was very disappointed that the Paella was made it with basmati rice... :( very very bad, this is one of the most traditional dishes from Spain, the Spanish tortilla doesn't contain any particle of potato it was just a simple omelet.

Sangria, Shrimps, Jalapenos and other dishes were OK, but if you are expecting to have a small experience of Spanish cuisine in Doha I will have to say that u will have a 3 Stars experience... not a 5 stars...

I hope this review help you when choosing your next dinner plans in Doha.

I give them some recommendations regarding my comments which were for their own benefit, hope they work things out to improve their menu.
