Jasmine Thai Restaurant

This is a great place to enjoy Thai food, a view shared by some Thai friends. There is a wide range of choice for the starters and the quality is superb. I particularly enjoy the fish cakes, satay chicken and prawn cakes. There are also many choices for the main courses of which the green and red curries are especially good. The signature desert is mango and sticky rice which is only available when the restaurant has suitable mangos from Thailand (so I am told); it is worth phoning ahead to check. The all you can eat buffets on Tuesday and Friday evenings cost Q.R. 99 per head and provide a great way to sample many items from the special buffet menu and not from hot plates.  The staff are attentive and friendly. If you like your Thai food spicy, you will need to stress this when ordering as there is a tendency to "underclub" the chili in order to protect the innocent.
