Qatar condemns Israeli work on ‘Sufa 53 Line’ in Syrian territory

Qatar has strongly condemned Israel’s continued activity in Syrian territory, including the completion of work on the so-called “Sufa 53 Line”, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 4.

The ministry described the move as a violation of Syria’s sovereignty, a breach of international law and a threat to regional security.

Qatar calls for urgent international action

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to act urgently to ensure compliance with international resolutions and, in particular, the 1974 ceasefire agreement.

It also called for an end to repeated Israeli military activity in Syrian territory, warning against further escalation and tension in the region.

Support for Syria reaffirmed

Qatar reiterated its support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, while expressing solidarity with the Syrian people in their pursuit of security, stability and prosperity.

Jordan and Kuwait also issued condemnations concerning the completion of the “Sufa 53 Line” in Syria’s Quneitra province, citing concerns over Syrian sovereignty and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
